Report Builder lets you build polished, client-ready reports from your live SnowSEO data - search performance, traffic, audits, AI visibility, and rankings. It’s a drag-and-drop canvas, so you arrange exactly what you want on each page. Or let Snowy draft the layout for you.
Find it in the sidebar under Tools → Report Builder.
Make sure the right brand is selected before you create or export a report. Live “data” widgets pull from your connected integrations - Google Search Console, Analytics, audits, tracked prompts - so connect those first for the richest reports.

The Reports List

When you open Tools → Report Builder, you land on your list of saved reports.
  • Search - Filter reports by name with the Search reports… box.
  • Create new - Opens a menu to start a new report (see below).
  • Export - Downloads your connected data as a spreadsheet. This is a data export, not a report.
  • Reports table - Each row shows the report Name (click it to open the editor), when it was Created At, and an Updated … ago timestamp. Sort by name or date.
  • Row actions - Rename, Delete, and an export menu with Download PDF, Send to email, Get shareable link, and Send to clients (no need to open the editor first).
  • Bulk delete - Select multiple reports with the checkboxes, then Delete them together.
If you haven’t built anything yet, you’ll see an empty state with a button to create your first report.

Creating a Report

Click Create new and choose what you want to create:
  • Designed report - Opens the template picker. Start from a Blank report or a ready-made template (managed by your SnowSEO admins) that you can customize.
  • Build with Snowy - Starts a blank draft and opens the Snowy tab, where you tell Snowy what to build (for example “a monthly SEO report: search performance, keyword rankings, traffic and AI visibility”). It needs a brand selected.
Either option creates the report and drops you straight into the editor.

The Editor

The editor is a freeform, drag-and-drop canvas built on print-ready pages. It has three areas: a left sidebar, the canvas in the middle, and a properties panel on the right (toggle the side panels with [ and ]).
Add, rename, duplicate, reorder, and remove pages. Each page is a printable canvas in your report.

Canvas

Select, move, and resize widgets directly on the page. The toolbar across the top includes the report title, page count, undo/redo, zoom, Refresh data widgets, a Theme menu, and Export PDF (with more export options beside it). Handy shortcuts: ⌘C / ⌘V to copy-paste, ⌘D to duplicate, arrow keys to nudge, and Delete to remove the selection. Theme - Apply a background theme to every page: White, Soft Gradient, Dot Gradient, Aurora, Graph Paper, or Frost Grid. The gradient themes use colors you can pick in the menu.

Properties Panel

With nothing selected, the right panel holds report-wide settings:
  • Date range - Applies to every data widget (shown when your report has data widgets).
  • Compare to another period - Turn it on to compare against the previous period, the previous year, or a custom range. Widgets such as Takeaway and What Changed use it.
  • Document language - The language of the report’s built-in labels.
Select a widget to edit its own properties, such as its title, data options, and appearance.
Your report autosaves as you work - there’s no Save button. If you navigate away while a save is still in flight, SnowSEO warns you so you don’t lose changes.

Exporting and Sharing

Use Export PDF in the editor toolbar, or the export menu on a row of the Reports list. SnowSEO renders each page and gives you:
  • Download PDF - A PDF named after your report.
  • Send to email - Email the PDF to one or more recipients.
  • Get shareable link - A link to a PDF snapshot that anyone with the link can view, no login required. Regenerating replaces the previous link, and you can revoke it anytime to cut off access.
  • Send to clients - Attach the report to your brand’s client recipients so they get it on their next scheduled report (weekly, monthly, or both). Nothing is sent right away. Add recipients and set password protection in Settings → Reports.
Exports include a small SnowSEO watermark unless your plan includes white-label reporting (for example Scale). With white-label on, you can replace it with your own branding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Any team member (member role and up) can build and export reports. Managing the shared library of prebuilt templates is an admin-only task, done from the admin panel.
Live data widgets pull from your connected integrations. If a widget is blank, the data behind it isn’t available yet - for example, Search Console or Analytics isn’t connected, no SEO Audit has run, or you have no tracked prompts. Connect the relevant integration (or run an audit), then click Refresh data widgets.
The watermark is removed on plans that include white-label reporting, such as Scale, which also lets you brand your reports. On other plans, exports carry a small SnowSEO watermark.
