Why Use a JSON-LD Generator?
Structured data is the difference between a search result and a citation. Our generator builds a clean Schema.org @graph that Google, AI Overviews, and AI assistants can all read.
Schema.org @graph Output
Generates a single @graph document with the typed Article node, Publisher Organization, BreadcrumbList, and per-type extras (ItemList, HowTo, FAQPage). Embed as one <script type="application/ld+json">.
Auto-Detected Schema Type
AI reads your page and picks the best-fit Schema.org type — Article, Product, LocalBusiness, Event, Recipe, FAQPage, HowTo, Review, and more — then nests the right entities (ItemList, itemReviewed, HowToStep[], and so on). No type selection needed.
URL or Manual Paste
Paste a URL and we scrape the page with Firecrawl to derive the title, description, brand, image and dates. Or paste markdown directly when you already have the content.
AI / GEO Visibility
Schema.org markup remains valid even after Google removed HowTo and FAQ rich results. The same markup is parsed by AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Claude for citations.
Programmatic-First
Structured metadata (keywords, dates, listicle items, brand) always wins. AI is invoked only to extract structure absent from metadata — HowToStep[], FAQPage entries, review rating — never to invent.
Copy or Embed
Toggle between raw JSON and the <script type="application/ld+json"> wrapper, copy to clipboard, or download as a .jsonld file. One-click deep link to Google Rich Results Test for validation.

JSON-LD (JavaScript Object Notation for Linked Data) is the Schema.org-standard format for structured data embedded in web pages. Search engines and AI assistants use it to understand the meaning of your content — articles, products, reviews, FAQs, lists — and surface it as rich results, AI Overview citations, or chat answers. The markup is invisible to users but is the most important signal for machine-readable content.
Yes — completely free. You can generate Schema.org JSON-LD from any URL or pasted content. We provide 10 free generations per year per user. Paid plans and dashboard callers get higher (daily) limits.
You don't pick a type — the generator reads your content and auto-detects the best-fit Schema.org type from the Google-supported set: Article / BlogPosting / NewsArticle, Product, LocalBusiness, Organization, Event, Recipe, FAQPage, HowTo, Review, Person, VideoObject, Course, JobPosting, WebSite, and BreadcrumbList. It also adds nested entities (e.g. ItemList, itemReviewed, HowToStep[]) and a FAQPage node when the content has an FAQ. It only fills fields actually present in your content — it never fabricates values.
Copy the generated <script type="application/ld+json">…</script> block into the <head> of your page (or the CMS theme template that controls your article <head>). Most CMSes and themes have a "head scripts" or "custom code" field; alternatively, drop it in just before </head> on your article template. The markup does not affect visible content.
Google removed HowTo rich results in September 2023 and FAQ rich results in 2023 (final removal mid-2026). The Schema.org markup itself is still valid and is still parsed by Google plus AI engines (AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT, Claude). We continue to emit HowTo and FAQPage markup because the AI / GEO value is real — the code comments in our generator cite the original Google announcement so this isn’t "fixed" later.
Meta titles and meta descriptions are user-visible snippets that show up in search results. JSON-LD is invisible structured data that lives in <head> and tells machines what your page is about. You need both: meta tags for the human-readable listing, JSON-LD for the machine-readable graph. Our JSON-LD generator focuses on the latter; for meta tags, see our Meta Title Generator and Meta Description Generator.
Yes — Schema.org JSON-LD is the most authoritative signal AI engines use to attribute content. A clean @graph with headline, abstract, author/publisher Organization, dates, and per-type entities (Review rating, HowToStep[], ItemList of products) gives Perplexity, ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AI Overviews structured facts to cite. A well-formed JSON-LD document materially improves the odds of being quoted in AI answers.
Yes — the URL mode scrapes any publicly accessible page (via Firecrawl) and infers the title, description, image, and brand URL from the page metadata. Use this to prototype or audit competitors, then customize the brand fields before embedding on your own site.
Open Google’s Rich Results Test (linked from the output panel), paste your page URL, and run the test. Schema Markup Validator (schema.org) works for any Schema.org type. Both tools report missing required fields, deprecated properties, and parse errors. After validating, paste the <script> block into your page and re-run the test against the live URL.
