# Update Ask Snowy Settings

> Change a brand's Ask Snowy agent settings.

Update any subset of the fields on [Ask Snowy Settings](https://snowseo.com/docs/api-reference/endpoints/snowy-settings.md). Only the keys you send change; the response is the full, updated settings.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Writing requires **managed** (admin/owner) access to the brand. The changes apply to every member's Ask Snowy for that brand.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Fields that are not recognised or not well formed are dropped rather than rejected: a `responseStyle` outside the allowed values, or a `responseLanguage` that is neither `auto` nor a language code such as `en` or `pt-BR`. `customInstructions` is trimmed and cut to the maximum length.

Ask Snowy itself cannot call this endpoint, so text inside a chat can never rewrite Snowy's own rules.
